Kadın Kasabı Article

This article on Kadın Kasabı or "Woman Butcher" (1968) has some nice color photos of a handful of the Topstone masks used in the film. While I'm not certain, I think these are pics from the same black and white film was posted here and here back in 2013. The movie title translates differently, but the mask lineup certainly looks the same.

Nightmare (1981)

Nightmare (1981) is yet another early 80's slasher movie that features a psycho-killer with a knife wearing a Don Post Studios mask.

You may have never seen the movie, but you're already familiar with the basic premise... "A mental-patient, who is troubled with horrible nightmares, has escaped from his hospital. Now on the streets he can't help killing innocent people."

The Nightmare killer sports a Don Post Studios "Shiek" mask sans-head gear. The mask appeared in the 1980 DPS catalog, and is a variation of the Mr. Kool mask from the 1979 catalog...

The Turkish Thriller Kadin Düsmani or Woman Despiser (1967) contains a surprising array of vintage Topstone and other monster masks.

The film is driven by basic premise of "crazed masked killer wreaks havoc among local ladies", and let me just say, is no ordinary masked killer. This maniac has a a smorgasbord of vintage monster masks at his disposal. And when this bad Larry slips on the rubber, me means business!

There are a number of action and kill scenes through the film that showcase great shots of old school masks. The film includes so many shots, that I'll be breaking this post up and presenting stills and video over the course of the next few days. Here is Part One...
