In the Loop Magazine Article: Zagone Studios

This article titled "Legendary Mask Maker, Zagone Studios, Approaches Fifty-Years Of Innovation Right Here In Chicago" has some killer behind-the-scene photos of the studio. The article was written and shot by James Currie, who was responsible for the Freaky Frights on Forest, which was an epic two-block long home haunt experience that ran for several years in the Chicago suburb of North Riverside.

Rue Morgue Article: The Wild World of Philip Morris

 This write-up on spook show show performer and costume industry legend Philip Morris originally appeared appeared in the July 2011 issue of Rue Morgue magazine. It's a brief but fun read, and a nice reminder of Morris' many accomplishments. Don Post Studios Article - Questar Feb. 1980

During a period from November 1979 to August 1980, Questar magazine ran four "Close-Up" articles about Don Post Studios.  Although the article in today's post is titled "Part-One" in the series, the article posted a few days ago is actually the first and serves as an introduction to the series. The full audio recordings of the interviews conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Elliot for these articles with Don Post Sr, and Don Post Jr can be heard on Matt Post's YouTube page.

Monster! - Halloween Issue

The October "Halloween" issue of Monster! magazine  is packed with plenty of monster mask goodness. Starting immediately on page one with a photo of vintage Topstone masks, to a Halloween III SOTW review, and finally, a six-page article entitled "Nightmares in Latex: Remembering Don Post Masks". The magazine is a steal at just over five bucks an issue.
