If you looked hard enough in the October 1979 issue of Fango, you could find this snippet which announced the coming of the  special limited edition Face-hugger from Don Post Studios...

A full year later the "mask" was made available in the October 1980 issue. The price in this ad must have seemed a bargain at only $375, as it was listed at a whopping $500 in a popular two page color ad that ran in many publications of the day...

Distortions ALIEN Mask- Horrorshow #5

The Distortions Unlimited Alien mask released in 1980 remains one of the rarest and most sought after Distortions masks ever produced. This write up from Aaron Lewis of Monster Mayhem contains some history on the mask, and a really amazing story of how Aaron obtained his copy.

The article came from Horror Show #5 which featured this great Demon Mask from the Monster Makers on the cover. Issue 5 was chocked full of mask goodness which I post here at some point in the future. Until then, enjoy this ghoulish stroll down memory lane!
