1987 Great Cover Up Catalog

This catalog comes via a trade with another mask collector in a swap of catalogs and is hot off the scanner! The masks featured in this catalog are all over the spectrum in terms of character and origin. The Savage Eye Great Goblin greets readers upon opening the catalog and is followed by a slew of older Mario Chiodo / Illusive Concepts masks. There is even a full page of Savage Eye designs on page 8, which is the first time I've had the opportunity to post color pics of Savage Eye masks here on the Monster Mask blog. Thanks goes out to Gene for making these and the others available and filling a few more holes in the Monster Mask Catalog Archives

  1. YEAH man, blast from my past. When I was a kid I spent all summer flipping through this catalog, planning my costume for Halloween.

  2. Are you sure that Great Goblin is by Topstone? Oh great. Now I have to buy that thing, too? Where am I going to find one of those crazy things? Blah.

  3. I think so Ray, but I could be wrong. I remember the Maskahuna doing a showcase on the mask on the HMA. I'll poke around and look for it when I'm on break later today.

  6. Thanks Phantom! Whew. The completist in me would have demanded I buy one of those, had it been a Topstone. But it just didn't look like a Topstone! And it's so big, I fear it would try to eat my other Topstones.

  7. Wow! First time I've been able to find a pic of a mask I own. The Demon Ram / Brown Plush. Although I've been misinformed of it's name in the past aka "evil unicorn" obviously it's the Demon Ram. Thank you for posting!!!
