Super7 Universal Monsters Retro Monster Masks
Over the past two weeks I've posted about the various licensed Universal Studios Monster masks of recent vintage. Here is another licensed line that is very cool and certainly worth mentioning, the Super7 Universal Monsters retro monster masks. What makes the Super7 masks stand apart from the NECA and Trick or Treat Studio offerings, is that these are old-school vacuformed style masks.
These beauties are a collaboration with Retro-a-go-go and designed by artist Doug P'gosh. Like any of P'gosh's offerings, the packaging is as beautiful as the masks themselves. Several variants and alternate colorways were available from this line as well. Check it...

1967 Star Band Brochure
Today's scans come courtesy of catalog exchanges I made with the good folks over at Blow-Molded which is "the largest and most comprehensive archive of 3,124 blow-molded, injection-molded, vacucel, vacuum formed and hard rubber molded novelties produced by 114 different manufacturers." It's an impressive site to say the least, and you can easily loose hours of your life just digging through the Halloween themed items.
This 1967 Star Band brochure is only four pages, but the items offered throughout all ooze classic old-school Halloween vibes. The mask stand sign is my personal favorite detail, and the "crime fighter" and villian masks and are pretty cool as well!

2020 Trick or Treat Studios Hammer Horror Mask Line
Since we've gone down the path of looking at Trick or Treat Studio's Universal Studios monster masks over the past few days, it seems appropriate to also take a quick look at their Hammer Horror mask line as well.
This type of licensed line-up is something that ToT really deserves some kudos for, as most other mass-produced mask studios wouldn't think twice about releasing these classic monsters. While some of these characters have been made into masks by independent artists, they really have never been widely available to the public. I love that these classic Hammer monsters are finally being made available to collectors!
2020 saw the initial release of four Hammer Horror monsters including the beautifully sculpted Christopher Lee Dracula by Russ Lukich, the Mummy by Jasper Anderson, the Reptile by Chris Williams, and the Monster from Hell by Erich Lubatti.
