The Unholy Six

This snippet came from the 1962 Gordon's Novelty Catalog. The catalog has several pages of vintage mask illustrations that I need to eventually scan and post. This one comes from the back page...

  1. While cleaning out the warehouse (for all New steel shelving ...) back in late 81' ... when I worked for Morris Costumes.... I found a "Dracula's daughter" mask like that behind a section of old crushed boxes... The one I found looked "Topstone"... With attached "hair"... Long black and stringy plastic fibers...

  2. Great story Doc! There must have been some crazy things lurking in that warehouse.

  3. I've been picking up some of these jobbers catalogs, too. They are full of fantastic images.

  4. They sure are Ray! I had a feeling you had your eyes on these too. Good to know they're going to a good home. Any plans to scan them for your photostream?

  5. In the future, probably, but not real soon. I'm busier now with "real life" stuff than I used to be. And I'm being more selective about what I share online, so as not to spoil things I want to do in the near future. ( like projects that would present the material in a more impressive and organized way than just posting it on Flickr or a message board)
