The Devil's Workshop Gayle House Ghoul mask has been revamped into a classic mail-order / dime store style version... which translates to cheap, thin, and fun!
The masks are each shipped complete with retro style packaging for a mere $19.99. Be the first in your neighborhood to get this mask and invite your friends over for a haunting!
Here's a look at the first five copies...
For those that might remember, the mask is based off the classic illustration from the old "Haunting" record ad offered up from the mysterious Gayle House. The record is still available today in limited pressings by the House of the Unusual.

Odd Show Video Link
Ran into this video of the Odd Folks Home Show on the 2 Cool Ghouls blog. I've never seen an episode before, but I enjoyed this spot which features a New Jersey mask collector and his passion for latex and silicone...

1994 Illusive Concepts Catalog
The addition of several new licensed characters was the central theme to the new additions to the 1994 Illusive Concept line-up. These included the massive Looney Tunes masks, Jurassic Park Dinosaurs, Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, as well as a Kramer mask, and the Peanuts gang...
The supplement pages were included with the catalog. It looks like they were printed up and included for use at a trade show (. The Karloff and Lugosi masks look rather well done, but I don't think they ever went into production. There's no sign of them in the 1995 IC catalog.

100th Ad Post - 1980 Don Post Ad
Today's post marks the 100th Monster Mask Ad posted here on the Blood Curdling Blog of Monster Masks! While this two page Don Post Studios ad appeared in several publications, this particular scan came from the June 1980 Issue of Questar. The ad packed a lot of punch as it reads more like a catalog with almost two full pages of classic DPS masks. In addition, the Nosferatu and ALIEN Facehugger Collector's Editions are prominently featured with small write-ups.

Kelloggs Cut Out Masks
Back in 1953 these cut-out masks were found on the backs of Kelloggs cereal boxes. The colorful ad for said masks was found on the Neato Coolville blog during the October 2007 Halloween Countdown...

1993 Collegeville Costumes Catalog
I've always had mixed feelings about these late Collegeville Catalogs, the are completely void of the charm of the early catalogs. The 1993 Collegeville Costumes catalog is no different, and is not only void of the old school illustrations, but it's also missing most of the original designs that remained in the line-up for decades, with the exception of the classic Skeleton, Devil and Vampire. The '93 line-up was all about the licensed characters. The ALIEN, Batman, Joker, and Crypt Keeper being my personal favs. The Deluxe Facehugger is pretty sweet too!

Don Post Masks at Disney
Both of these wonderful photos come courtesy of the Classic Movie Monsters Blog. While both feature Don Post masks at Disney well before I had the opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom for the first time back in '82, these images still resonate something special deep within me.
