Mask Tag Tuesday: Be Something Studios
Greetings Creeps and welcome to the second post in a new ongoing series entitled Mask Tag Tuesday.
Your ol' pal the Yellow Phantom has a serious stockpile of mask tags to
share and I'll be doing so periodically on Tuesdays. The eventual goal
is to create an archive similar to that of the Monster Mask Catalog Archive.
Please excuse the heavy watermarking, I do not want to see these used
to create reproduction tags that are passed off as originals.
Today's Mask Tag Tuesday features late 1980's/ early 90's Be Something Studios mask tags. This bold orange and black style tag was the standard for BSS masks for almost two decades. I have a good two dozen more of these that I'll eventually scan and share, but in the meantime enjoy these Unleashed Wickedness and Bone Apart tags...

Morris Catalog Monday: 1982 Mask Catalog
Happy Monday creeps, and welcome back to the ongoing series entitled Morris Catalog Monday which features random scans from old Morris Costume catalogs. Hope you all had a jolly Christmas weekend. This will be the last MCM post of 2015.
Most of the content of the 1982 Morris mask catalog has already been posted here, here, and here, but the cover is too cool to be left behind. So here it is in it's full glory adored with an illustration from Jim Lawrence...

1993 Topstone Catalog
The 1993 Topstone catalog finds the iconic mask manufacturer a good three decades past it's prime, but there are a few nuggets worth noting. First, the licensed Noid and Mario Bros. masks...
The Creepshow Nate mask was definitely one of the more collectible masks that was released by Topstone. It was a large mask with a full neck, shoulders, and velcro straps to secure the back of the neck nice and tight...
Here is a photo of a copy of the Nate mask that yours truly owned and custom painted back around 1994...
The 1993 Topstone catalog also featured the Horror Sounds of the Night cassette tape which many late 80's and early 90's home haunters remember fondly...
And now, onto the catalog pages...

Don Post 2016 Monster Calendar
Among the many amazing pieces of memorabilia to come out of DonCon this past November, the Monster Calendar is one of my personal faves. The Monster Calendar is now available for purchase online, and is best summarized by Black Sparrow....
Created by Daniel Roebuck and Tammy Peralta, in conjunction with Dante Renta, this limited DON POST 2016 Monster Calendar pays tribute to the 1970s original mask designs that replaced the Universal Monsters on the 1966 Calendar. 2016 would be the 50th anniversary of the original Don Post Calendar. Using original 1970s Don Post masks that are foam-filled, the Roebuck-Peralta-Renta triumvirate spent long hours photographing and then adding Don Post, Jr.’s eyes to each image! Read Daniel Roebuck’s account of how the calendar was made here. This 9″ x 12″ calendar was originally a DON-CON exclusive and is now available for everyone for a limited time only. Get yours before it runs out!

Mask Tag Tuesday: Darth Vader/ Armor All Tag
Greetings Creeps and welcome to the first post in a new ongoing series entitled Mask Tag Tuesday. Your ol' pal the Yellow Phantom has a serious stockpile of mask tags to share and I'll be doing so periodically on Tuesdays. The eventual goal is to create an archive similar to that of the Monster Mask Catalog Archive. Please excuse the heavy watermarking, I do not want to see these used to create counterfeit tags that are passed off as originals.
First up, is this Don Post Studios / Armor All promo tag for the Darth Vader helmet. This elaborate accordion style tag features some nice photos of late 70's DPS masks. A high-res un-watermarked scan of the masks is included below. Enjoy...
