Distortions Monster of the Month - October '14

The Distortions Monster of the Month was announced at Maskfest this past September to eager collectors. Last week, the first mask in the series began arriving at doorsteps. "Blink", sculpted by Mikey Rotella, is the first mask in the series. If the remaining masks in the series come anywhere close to the quality of Blink, it will be steal for collectors, as these pieces are available for just $32 each with a full year subscription.

1992 (Fall) Great Cover Up Catalog

The final day of the Great Cover Up catalog week belongs to the 1992 Fall catalog. This catalog builds a bridge to previously posted GCU catalogs within the Monster Mask Catalog Archive. Fear not fans of the Great Cover Up, for today's post does not represent the end. Your pal the Yellow Phantom still has another seven GCU catalogs which will eventually be posted. 1992 Great Cover Up Catalog

Day six of the Great Cover Up catalog week features the 1992 catalog. As stated in yesterday's post, Don Post Studios was doing all the development for the GCU at this point in time, and the influence of the sculptors who were working for DPS can be seen in most of the masks. Even the design of this catalog has a similar vibe to the of the 92 Don Post Catalog.
