Vinage Cut -Out Masks

Until recently, I was unaware of the wonderful art produced by Mr. Bumble Bindlegrim. I was first introduced to the world of Bindlegrim from this post on the PumpkinRot blog. While not mask related, the vintage style lanterns really struck a cord with me. Enough so, that I spent some time browsing through the work of Bindlegrim. I was delighted to find these vintage (1930s?) paper cutout masks on the Bindlegrim Flickr photostream...

I need to get around to posting more cut-out masks. I have a rather large folder of vintage cut-outs. I'd like to enlarge these so they could be printed up and cut out. Mmmm. Maybe a cut-out monster mask week is in order after the crazy prep for Monsterpalooza has come and gone.

  1. These are fucking cool. The cat one is my favorite, obviously. But they are all great. I have a bunch of cut out stuff in my Halloween-themed bathroom. I love it.
