13 Great Ways to Celebrate Halloween Booklet - Halloween Celebration Committee (Part 2 of 2)

Today's post is part 2 of 2 and features an interesting artifact from the early 80's that comes courtesy of Lee Lambert. I recall Lee contacting me a few years back as he begun his hunt for a booklet from the Halloween Celebration Committee. I had no leads or information on the book, but through his persistent searching, he eventually procured a copy. A big thanks goes out to Lee for sharing these scans. Click here to view part one.

The Halloween Celebration Committee was formed back in 1982, after the Tylenol scare, in an effort to reassure the public that Halloween was indeed a safe holiday. The committee was made up of a number of mask, costume, and Halloween manufacturers including Be Something Studios, Collegeville Costumes, Ben Cooper, Fun World, Imagineering, Don Post Studios, Topstone Industries, and others.

The book itself contains little about monster masks, but it is a fascinating bit of history from a committee that many mask manufacturers belonged to. Check out the Halloween Celebration Resources beginning on page 28 for some interesting books and records...
