Creepy #3 featured one of the all time classic monster mask ads on the back cover, the infamous sweater-ad. The "sweater" ad (as it's often called) features some great shots of the classic Don Post Universal Monster masks all wearing fashionable dark cable-knit sweaters.
The ad also showcases the original "smooth" Glenn Strange Frank, made from the life cast from the actor for Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein. Since the mask originated from a life cast, it was undersized, and difficult to wear. Because of this, the smooth Strange Frank was only produced for a short while and remains one of the rarest and most sought after Don Post masks ever...
