Distortions ALIEN Mask- Horrorshow #5
The Distortions Unlimited Alien mask released in 1980 remains one of the rarest and most sought after Distortions masks ever produced. This write up from Aaron Lewis of Monster Mayhem contains some history on the mask, and a really amazing story of how Aaron obtained his copy.
The article came from Horror Show #5 which featured this great Demon Mask from the Monster Makers on the cover. Issue 5 was chocked full of mask goodness which I post here at some point in the future. Until then, enjoy this ghoulish stroll down memory lane!

ReplyDeleteHORRORSHOW MAGAZINE is great. I've got all of 'em (1,2,3,6,7) but issues 4 and 5. I used to scour for them all over but never found them for a reasonable price. It's a shame they discontinued it. I really enjoyed it. I was even thinking of discussing with my Distribution Division about publishing a print magazine for Special Make-Up Effects Artists in the industry and latex mask collectors, similar to how HORRORSHOW magazine was, but I never got around to it because it would be a heavy venture of logistics and I'm not sure if it would be successful?
