How to Make a Mask - Magazine Article
This article is literally a mystery from the Maskahuna's vault as it's origins are unknown. While I planned to post this back in December, I nearly forgot I had it... until yesterday. It's amazing what treasures pop-up when I clean-up my desktop. The article contains several atmospheric behind-the-scene photos of Don Post Studios. In terms of what magazine articles traditionally offer, this one actually has some nice details about the over all mask making process too. I would have killed for this article when I was a kid...

On the phone, and the person taking notes. That is Don Post, Jr. And his assistant Sharron Armstrong under those masks.
ReplyDeleteGreat tidbit! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI remember this very vividly from my childhood. I think it is from National Geographic's World Magazine. The photos on the "Making the Mold" spread are burned into my brain from hours of study!
